Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Account details — your name, email address, date of birth and sign-up date.
• Fitness & health tracking — the data you log in the app: workouts (exercises, sets, reps, weights), body weight and measurements, steps, nutrition/food entries, and check-in answers.
• Progress photos — any photos you choose to upload.
• Messages — messages between you and your coaching team.
• Apple Health / Health Connect data (optional) — if you grant permission, we read your step count and, if you have a connected scale, your body weight (and any other metrics you allow) from Apple Health on iPhone or Google Health Connect on Android, to save you logging them manually. We only read the data you explicitly permit; it is used solely to display and track your steps and weight within your coaching account and is never sold, shared for advertising, or used for any other purpose. You can revoke this access at any time in your device's Health/Health Connect settings, and we do not read any health data after access is revoked.
• Technical data — basic information needed to keep you signed in and to deliver notifications you opt into, and which version of the app you last opened (iPhone app, Android app or web app, plus the app version and the time) so your coach can help with any app issues.

How we use it

We use your data solely to provide the coaching service: to track your progress, let your assigned coach review your data and reply to your check-ins, personalise your targets and plans, and send notifications you have opted into. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Legal basis

We process your data to perform our coaching agreement with you, and, for health-related information, on the basis of your explicit consent (given when you create an account and grant the relevant permissions). You can withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account.

Who can see it

Your logged data is visible to you and to the coach/administrator assigned to you at Lifes Hurdle. It is not shared with other clients. We use trusted infrastructure providers to run the service (our database, authentication, file storage and notifications are provided by Supabase, and the app is delivered via Netlify); these providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments. We may disclose data if required by law.

Where it is stored & security

Your data is stored in our Supabase project on managed cloud infrastructure. Access is protected by authentication and row-level security so that each client's data is only accessible to that client and their coach. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections.

How long we keep it

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data is removed as described below. We may retain minimal records only where required by law.

Your rights & deleting your account

You can access and correct your information from within the app. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time:

• In the app: tap your profile icon (top right) → Delete account, then confirm. This immediately and permanently erases your workouts, nutrition, weigh-ins, measurements, photos, messages, check-ins and your login.
• By email: if you prefer, email sally@lifeshurdle.com and we will delete your account for you.

Depending on where you live you may also have rights to a copy of your data or to object to certain processing — email us to exercise these.

Children

The app is intended for adults. It is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will change the "Last updated" date above and, for significant changes, notify you in the app.
